Yes, please make a reservation or booking at least 24 hours but preferably 48 hours in advance. For last-minute bookings, please contact us by phone or email. We are quite flexible.
When making a booking, please leave a phone number as it helps to confirm your booking and inform you of last minute information e.g. the weather, your transportation to the farm etc.
Please wear sneakers or sturdy walking shoes, sun protection (hats, etc.), and eco-friendly insect repellent for farm and self-guided tours. If you are interested in hiking or birdwatching, please wear long pants and long socks, and bring binoculars if you have them. Swimwear is optional for river rafting.
Cameras are encouraged. If you are on social media , please follow and tag us (# / @animalfarmjamaica) in your photographs.
Anytime! During the rainy season, from June to November each year, we recommend choosing a morning tour to escape the afternoon rains.
Our tours last approximately 1.5 hours at minimum.
You can stay as long as you like after your your tour(s) to picnic and explore as long as your presence does not interfere with any other activity taking place on the farm at that time. We close at 5 p.m.
Yes, we charge approximately $40 USD round trip from central Montego Bay for up to 2 persons.
No, toddlers up to 3 years of age are free of charge!
School tours are our specialty! From tiny animal-loving tots to curious teenagers, we ensure that our tours are both educational and fun!
The farm is mainly dedicated to aviculture, so birds are predominant, but we have a cow, a sheep, a goat, rabbits, and guinea pigs as well. We also have the Jamaican Boa or Yellow Snake and the American Crocodile, both of which are protected species and kept with permission of the Natural Resources and Conservation Authority of Jamaica.
We have drinks and snacks on sale and lunch can be arranged at the time of booking. Your other options are to a) bring your own food and drink and/or b) rent our grilling kit and have a cookout.
You do not have to get wet when rafting but it's a good idea to wear shorts and canvas or rubber shoes (all the better to enjoy a relaxing limestone foot massage). Some visitors choose to wear swimwear and coverups to truly shine in their personal photoshoots!
The best case scenario is having a change of clothes and shoes if you book a rafting tour.
You may cancel a reservation without penalty up to 24 hours beforehand.
